Save on Your Cell Bill
submitted by Ben Mathews
Here's a neat trick that can save you some money on your cell phone bill. Have you ever needed a telephone number and had to call directory assistance from your cell phone? How expensive is that? Next time try this trick:
Send a text message to Google and ask them for the phone number or the address. Type the name you looking for and a ZIP code or the city and state and send it to 46645. Within seconds, Google will text you the address and phone number of the person or place you're looking for.
Or try this: pizza, 70006. Google will send you an address and phone number, of all places selling pizza in that ZIP code.
He is another: Type the name of a movie and a ZIP code where you'd like to see the movie and Google will send you the show times and places where the movie is playing.
This is far cheaper than directory assistance, and you don't need Web access on your cell phone to do it; it's simply a text message.
